Sometimes we have done all we can do,
and waiting is all that is left.
And sometimes the hardest thing to do is to wait …
For the results of an exam.
The outcome of an interview.
A publisher’s response to a book proposal.
The RSVP to an invitation.
A season to change.
A heart or body to heal.
A relationship to be restored.
A promise to be fulfilled.
A prayer to be answered …
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to wait.
Father, help us to wait on You and for You. Help us to wait with hope, patience, and confident expectation. Help us to be strong and let our hearts take courage. We will never wait on You or for You in vain.
“I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord” (Psalm 27:13-14, AMP)“Wait with hope for Yahweh.
Be strong, and let your heart be courageous.
Yes, wait with hope for Yahweh” (Psalm 27:14, NOG).“Wait patiently for the Lord.
Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the Lord” (Psalm 27:14, NLT).“Here’s what I’ve learned through it all:
Don’t give up; don’t be impatient;
be entwined as one with the Lord.
Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope.
Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you!” (Psalm 27:14, TPT)“This is why I wait upon you, expecting your breakthrough,
for your word brings me hope.I long for you more than any watchman
would long for the morning light.
I will watch and wait for you, O God,
throughout the night” (Psalm 130:5-6, TPT).
