In January 2017, I was notified by WordPress that I registered with this site 4 years ago. Four years! There have been significant changes in my life and I suspect the same is true for you. I am learning to be thankful for all the changes as I grow in my ability to believe that God does work all things together for my good, even if this is not easily evident and some of it may never be evident on this side of eternity. I am learning to be thankful for the changes but even more so for the God Who remains the same eternally.
When I started this blog, I described myself with these words:
King’s daughter. Poet. Book lover. Believes that one of the sweetest pleasures in life is a long conversation over a meal with a loved one and, when face to conversations are not possible, accepts the next best thing, a long telephone conversation. Thankful to have never needed to navigate the world without a loving family and friends who are like family. Thinks winter Sunday afternoons are just delicious. Sees Jamba Juice smoothies, fried plantains, and a perfectly brewed cup of tea as valid comfort foods. Finds the smile, laughter, and joy of a child infectious. Usually stops first at the clearance rack in a department store and grins wide at the cashier when the total of all purchases are less than the original price of one item.
This description is still true. My love of words and books remains and I had the privilege of publishing my first book, Sliced Bread: Food for the spirit, in November 2016. My purpose for the blog is also the same – to share words which consistently encourage … and occasionally challenge. 🙂 Thanks for reading. Blessings.
