Our Father, Elohim, is consistent. He is unchanging. For ever the same (Malachi 3:6). He is the Rock of Ages and gives us this instruction, “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58, CSB).
You may feel very unsteady in this season. Wondering when the “next shoe will drop.” Uncertain about your direction. Unsure that what you are doing matters. Be encouraged, child of God. Remember that is who you are. Know that the Rock of Ages is working in you, giving you the desire and ability to do what pleases Him (Philippians 2:13).
Listen to the prophet Habakkuk’s testimony about the Rock of Ages, our consistent God. Know that it can be true for you. Believe that what He did for Habakkuk, He will do for you. “The Lord God is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet And makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility]” (Habakkuk 3:19, AMP).
