I looked at my face in the mirror. “I look haggard, worn out, tired,” I thought. Sometime later I also thought, “I do not know how much more I can take,” referring to the insomnia that had been treatment resistant, resulting in days too often characterized by low energy and sleepiness. In that moment, I was reminded internally of this truth – I think (with respect to what I can endure), but He knows when I am at my limit. I think and may even believe that I am at my limit but my perception is not always accurate. He, the Omniscient One, however, knows and He cares. The same is true for you, whatever it may be that seems to have pushed you to your limit. He knows. He cares. And He is holding and upholding you right now.
