FMF & 31 Days: Test

test

Most of us have seen the words scrolling across our television screens while hearing a voice state, “This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. The broadcasters of your area in voluntary cooperation with the Federal, State and local authorities have developed this system to keep you informed in the event of an emergency …” And the voice goes on to tell us, often accompanied by a high, annoying sound, what would have happened if there was an emergency. It ends with, “This concludes this test of the Emergency Broadcast System.”

This test of the EBS assures us, one can say, that we will be given information that is useful to us when there is an emergency. This is also true in the realm of the spirit. We have our Father’s assurance that HE will not only give us what we need while we are going through emergencies, aka, tests and trials, and tribulations, HE will be there with us every step of the way.

HE also gives us what we need ahead of time. But we do not always know that what we are receiving is preparation for a trial that is ahead. Sometimes it is not until we are in the middle of the test that we realize that HE was preparing us ahead of time. This happens when a song comes back to us or a message that we heard. Sometimes even a text or card we received. He told us that we will have trials but told us also to “take heart” because He has overcome the world.
