Seasons exist in nature and in life.
Spring is my favorite season in both spheres. I deeply appreciate the promise of spring time. The promise of resurrection which it holds. That there can be life after death. That the cold and shivery leaving-me-hunting-for-warmth-and-comfort moments of life can give way to gentle, life giving rains and days and hope and renewal.
I will admit that I also like the fall season because I associate it with transition. Transition from the heat of summer when leaves are abundant on trees and people are scantily clad to the time when trees are baring their branches, but only after those who can have blessed us with the rich colors of their foliage.
Seasons change. That is what they do. I am thankful for the unchanging One who made the seasons and walks with us through each one.
