Reasons to Praise: Day 19 – Honor

Will God do what He said He will do? In other words, is His word a guarantee that He will perform it? Will He honor His word? The answer is, “Yes.”

He gives us so many assurances in His Word. Some come in the form of a question, preceded by a statement of His character. As in the situation with Balaam, the Old Testament prophet who was hired to curse the nation of Israel.

Other assurances that He will keep His word come in the form of clear statements. As in Psalm 89:3:

And Deuteronomy 7:9:

Slide3Also, He tells us through Jeremiah that He watches over his word to perform it. And, through Paul, He assures us that all His promises are Yes and Amen in Christ.

He has never broken His promise and will not do so for the first time with us. He honors His word.

Father, I praise You that, although I have not always kept my word, You always honor Yours.
